Ghaati (2025) is an intense Telugu action crime drama directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, featuring Anushka Shetty and Vikram Prabhu in the lead roles. The film combines powerful performances, emotional storytelling, dramatic conflicts, and a gripping tale of survival and revenge. Set against the rugged landscapes near the Andhra Pradesh–Odisha border, Ghaati explores the struggles of people living under exploitation and the difficult choices they face while trying to change their lives.
The story centres on Sheelavathi (Anushka Shetty), a resilient woman whose life takes a dramatic turn when she becomes involved in a dangerous world shaped by criminal networks and the illegal trade operating in the region. Alongside Desi Raju (Vikram Prabhu), she dreams of improving her circumstances and building a better future. However, their plans bring them into conflict with powerful people who control the local trade and exploit vulnerable communities.
As the story progresses, Sheelavathi faces devastating personal setbacks that change her outlook on life. The situation becomes increasingly complicated as powerful enemies threaten her future and the lives of those around her. Forced to confront difficult circumstances, she begins a journey driven by determination, survival, and a desire for justice. Her transformation forms the emotional heart of the film, showing how an ordinary person can be pushed into extraordinary situations.
